Also, if you look back through the posts into last week, you'll find additional comments and answers to your question. Hope this helps.

Are you using a 436 or 536?

[QUOTE=ofd8001;2160947]I'm seeing the pop-up window only when a Favorites List contains a trunked radio system and then the window only references the TRS. If there are only conventional systems, then the window doesn't happen. Other than having to click OK, it's not a big thing to me.

Something I am noticing is that if I'm in Virtual Control, I cannot do any editing of "stuff".
[QUOTE]

Thanks for the additional information. Mine only has a few conventional systems so I did not notice it. Not a big deal for me cause I know it will get fixed. Just throwing it out there.

You need a null modem cable. It is not provided with the scanner. It has been posted elsewhere in this thread as to where you can purchase the correct cable. I got a couple on Amazon for about $6 a piece.

If you are going to use the serial port on the back of the BCD536 hp for virtual control, I highly recommend the following cable:

Amazon.com: StarTech.com 1 Port USB to Null Modem RS232 DB9 Serial DCE Adapter Cable with FTDI, Black (ICUSB232FTN ): Computers & Accessories

It has been working flawlessly with ARC536 Pro since Saturday

But, as far as I can tell, it all seems to be logging correctly and displaying properly on the virtual display.
Some of us only enter the control channel, then the log would show what all the voice frequencies are. Useful if you have a new site and dont have all the info available.

Thanks, there was an issue with 436 display support. Most menu's should work now, for the 436 the virtual keyboard still needs some work.

When I use the center on the screen option in the software for info for scanner, it moves the info off to the right
of the radio and Butel software so you see only half. Does anyone use this option
and do they find this,

I found that to be a problem too and asked Gommert about it. He said that is due to Uniden allowing something like a 64 character wide display for names (even though you don't see all 64 characters).

About the only thing you can do if centering is important and you are willing to invest a lot of time, is to do it manually.

Being the lazy guy I am, I turned the 3 line display off, which makes the channel names larger, then had the program capitalize channel name tags.

Correct, currently we align the text using the 64 character limit. But that does not give a good result on the scanner's 536 display since it only shows 34 characters and does not scroll

A feature for the log that would be useful would be if columns could be "moved around". That is, I might prefer that the Department column be next to the Channel Tag column. If it was possible for the user to move columns that would enhance the usefulness of the log.
Another useful feature would be the ability to Sort items within a column. I do not know if either of these are feasible but they would both be desiarable.
