Win500: win 500 client help

hello I have downloaded the free version of win-500 client I am having trouble getting the scanner to connect using windows 8 in server address it has local host and for server port 8086 are these settings correct, when I click start it always shows check address and port . this is for the gre-500 scanner any help on what I need to do to get this up and running thank you I also am using the 30-3290 gre cable thanks again for any help
