ARC536: Ultimate goals

Can we expect Profile and Configuration functionality similar to the other ARC products in the "final" version of ARC536?

It is not terribly convenient to work with systems one at a time, including uploading to the scanner.

Also, the current build is silent when completing tasks (writing to scanner, for example). It's useful to have some feedback from the software that it has finished doing something, particularly functions that take some time.

OK, I figured out how to make a profile. Why isn't the interface, including naming conventions, consistent across the ARC software line?

The reason is the different memory structure in the different scanner models. In ARC536 we save data in the native Uniden HPD file format.

But why can't you put "Open Profile" on the menu instead of "Open hpd file" which means much less to a user of other ARC software?

Because a HPD file is not a profile file.

It acts like one. Putting multiple systems into a single .hpd file is the only way I've found in ARC536 to manipulate and program more than one system at a time.
