How do I only scan my list and turn off state scanning right now it's scanning Alabama and I don't even live there.

Do you have the BearTracker features turned off?
If you see these letters: HP, BT, PL, DT, at the bottom of your screen (either one, 2 ,3, or all of the 4 sets of letters), you need to turn them off.
Press the buttons POL and HP, that are to the right of the display, until all of those sets of letters are gone.
That should do it......
