Exclamation Butel ARC330 and ARC396 .mem Files Not Working

Someone here at RR sent me some .mem files he created and uses on his Butel ARC330. He verified that they work with his ARC330 software.

I tried to use the files on my Butel ARC396 and it didn't work. Each of the files opened up as blank system files. I downloaded the demo versions ARC330 standard, pro, and beta, and each of these could not view the files either.

I viewed the files with a file viewer and the data appears to be intact.

My questions are:

1. Will the ARC330 .mem files work on ARC396?
2. Why am I not able to open .mem files created with ARC330 with another version of ARC330?
3. Can the .mem files that I have that are not working be edited to work properly on ARC330?
4. Can the .mem files of one version of ARC be edited to work with another version of ARC?
5. What else can I do to view use these .mem files with Butel ARC software?
6. Any suggestions?

ARC330 & ARC396 use exactly the same format, ask the person to zip the files first, sending them as text attachment may not work.

Gommert,

I sent just now sent him the zipped version... My question if this doesn't work - do the quick saved versions work the same as regular saved one at a time?

Thumbs up MEM Batch File Import Worked With New Files In Zip

I received the zip file, imported them into the ARC396 via the "File > Import > MEM batch import" feature. Now I can see the systems.

Thanks.

Now my trial version of ARC396 has expired and uploading has been disabled. I will have to wait until I can save up enough credit on PayPal to buy the full version. Will have to hit up the wife to release some more "funds."

Which shows exactly why your quest to have more file extensions allowed here is ill advised.

Default WinZip

The polls show otherwise. MOST voters want additional file extentions. Plus, I had to download another program (WinZip) on my computer that I did not need because I already have WinRAR.

Okay, problem addressed, solution provided. This is starting to wander down a road that I don't want to see traveled. This thread is closed.
