Whistler 1040 up and running. I like it ;-)
Used the PSREdit program for programming. Had a problem with both Win-7 and Win-10 regarding uploading to the scanner. Tried to load the drivers in both but only had success with the Win-10 puter. Will work on the Win-7 puter as time permits.
It took a few shots at it with the PSR program but a bit of trial and error did the job. It's all so easy once you know what to do.

Thanks to all for the help/encouragement

Default PSREdit

Just a FWIW -
Got the Win-7 puter working with PSREdit's upload process. It did need the drivers installed. This did not work last night when I tried it because I didn't give it enough time. It took several minutes to complete the update, so anyone trying to do this - be patient.
Conclusion: Both Win-7 & 10 will do the PSREdit programming just fine.
