Default Win97 to Win92

Hi,
I can copy all freqs, tags, etc. from a bank from Win92 and paste into a bank in Win97 fine, but if I try to copy from Win97 and paste into Win92 it only pastes the 1rst freq and not the rest.

Can this be done another way other than copying and pasting on freq at a time ?

Thanks for any help

The only way I know to go backwards (Newer to older) is to go through something like Excel and correct the various fields to the proper values first.

Win97 alpha tags are 16 characters, Win92 uses 12 max. At Starrsoft.com there is an Excel worksheet that will format the tags for you.

Yes, it's the alpha tags. Even if there are only 12 significant (non-space) characters in a PRO-97 tag, there are still 4 more blanks spaces at the end. Win92 won't like these.

In addition, Win97's "CT" and "DC" must be changed to "PL" and "DPL" for Win92, or the Rx mode column will be ignored when pasting.

Well, I didn't find a worksheet at starrsoft for the conversions from 97 but I did copy into excel and reformat a little and that worked pretty good. FYI, the reason I wanted to do this is for the factory installed search banks 1 and 2 from the pro97 to put into 2 banks on the pro92.

This saved allot of typing !

Thanks again for the advice

Copy data from Win97 and paste it into the appropriate columns C, D, and E in Excel. Reformatted data appears in columns G, H, and I. Alpha tags are truncated and may need a bit of editing. Copy columns G, H, and I and paste into Win92.
