The Manual is on the CD ,for the Pro-2054 # 20-427 should work,I just bought one today and works great on my Pro97 and Pro83(w/conversion cable) check in device manager what com port is assigned to your usb cable and that should match to your software .Hope this helps.

I had some problems with the USB from RS. See if you can get hold of fmon. PM him with a good phone number where he can reach you. It took about an hour on the phone with him to get mine working, but it was well worth it. I use the cable for my Pro95 and may set it up for my Pro92 also.

Now my 2054 has a black line upper left hand corner it will not go away. Is it because iam using scanlite demo, do i have to buy the full version first.

Demo or real shouldn't make a difference. Resetting the scanner may correct this problem.

Try this first:
Reset the scanner by inserting a paperclip or something into the reset hole in the back of the scanner...this will NOT clear your memory channels.....

If the reset does not work...try this:
Initialize the scanner by powering off the scanner
1. Turn the scanner on, while WELCOME appears press 0 (zero)
2. Press 1 (one) and INITIAL should appear on the display.
3. Press ENTER - WAIT appears on the display for about 2 seconds

Scanner is done initializing when 1 CH 000.0000 appears on the display

Initializing the scanner WILL CLEAR ALL YOUR MEMORY CHANNELS

After fighting with the program for a hour I started to play around it seems as soon as you push the read radio from scanlight you have to push the up arrow at the exact time. Thanks for all the advise, I got rid of that black line above ATN.
