arc 246 software issue

hi the problem i'm having is when i try to downloaded the new edac's system for ingham county in michigan threw the internet option on the 246 software they all come up but when i open it up in the software it shows it bieng a convential system and has now freq. afs, there all blank when the system first came out i had no problems with this issue and was able to get it to work but since they updated with afs and other things with system i have this problem i hope i explained it ok thanks

If you select trunked systems it will download the Ingham County EDACS system. I downloaded all the groups. The only problem I see is that there are a lot of missing talkgroups.

This system imports fine here, but as Al mentioned a lot of id's are not entered in the database yet (only the name tag) so the software clears them automatically since 00-000 is not a valid id.

how about when i down load the edac's for ingham county, michigan and open it up it coms in as a convential system and not edac's wide and like i said it won't show any lcn channels when th esystem first came out on r/r i had know problem but now that i want to update it i not getting any inf accept the the name of the channel thanks for the help

If you're not getting the control channels you're evidently doing something wrong, but you will get only "the name of the channel" for most talkgroups, since that's all there is in the database for a lot of them.

Hello.Please bear with me if this question has been addressed before.I just bought a BC 246T.I am going to buy Butel software from Scanner Master.I noticed and downloaded a free clone program just in case I really screw up. Is this compatible with firmware 2.05?Thank you.

The clone program stands alone - it doesn't depend on firmware version, software version or anything else. But, if the 246 is like the 396 (I don't know, but the manual should have the information), you can reset it to the original systems (or to totally blank - your choice when you reset).

And ARC246 can also "clone" (back up) the scanner.
