ARC 396T Upload??

My backup files are lost in the arc 396T program.I know how to download info "into" the scanner. But how do I take the info from the scanner and retrieve it to put it back into my software?? The only files that are good are in my scanner now.

No problem.
Make sure you are not in "Virtual Control" mode.
Click on the "BCD396T" menu at the top of the window.
Click on "Read Data"
Select "Read all systems"
Click on "Read from Scanner"

All your systems will be downloaded from your scanner.
Save all the systems to a known location.

I am brand new to this forum, so forgive me if I'm in the wrong place. I am looking for suggestions as to which software to use to program my new 396T. I downloaded the UASD
from Uniden, now people are telling me about Butel and a program which can be used for my Pro96 and the 396.

Any help would be appreciated.

Butel has their ARC software for the BCD396T. You can download and use either the Basic or/and the Pro versions for a 20 day demo period. I don't know that Butel software will work with a Pro-96, I think it's only for Unidens.
