uniden 796 software

I am inquiring into the 796 scanner software that came with
my 796 scanner. On the settings I notice a place to set the delay
and this setting is in milliseconds. What I am asking is what is the
proper setting of this in order to get the computer to talk to my scanner? I would appreciate the assistance greatly.

What do you have your baud set at then?

It's set at 57600bps.

I did and it still won't communicate with the scanner. I have serial
port adapter hub going out to a usb to the usb port on my laptop.
It accepts the baud the set up. It's the same port I use for my 396.

You have to turn on the "PC Control" on the scanner before you try to connect to it. Also 2000 ms is 2 sec. Very few people use the Uniden/ScanCat software. Most use Butel ARC250. www.butel.nl
