Did you save it to your computer? Look in the My Documents for it, then click on it to see if it will bring up the install wizard. I just got a Uniden USB cable and loaded it into my laptop and have not had any problem. I take that back it took me a while to remeber how to download my scanner's profile but that was the operator not the program. I do like this program it is way better than the Uniden one.

You simply click on it to install it. Have you never installed a program on your computer?

Its installed but when I open it, I am trying to figure out the whole menu thing up top. I just want to enter frequencies and load them, dont know whats so hard about it. Stuff is so complex these days for no reason.

Once you have opened the program and have the tool bar hook up your scanner on turn it on. Click on the BR330T then the communications set up. It will get the com port set up. Also use the help and get the manual it will also walk you through it.

Apologies in advance if any of the following is too simplistic for you.
  • To add frequencies, first create a new system by clicking the new system button on the bottom left corner of the ARC330 window. You should see it appear in the collumn on the left side of the screen.
  • Click on the system name and adjusted the General System Parameters as necessary. Be sure to choose a quick key for each system you create.
  • Next, double click the system name to display the groups
  • Click on group 1 and you will see the traditional-looking table to enter all your freqs & names in.
  • Once you have the systems ready to upload into the scanner, just select "Send to Scanner" from the BR330T menu. For the first time loading your scanner, it's best just to select "Send All Systems" then hit the green button to begin the transfer.
Play around with the different menu options at the top and you should be able to figure them before long. If your 330 is the first scanner you've owned with dynamic memory then it definitely takes some getting used to. I remember the first time I used ARC330, it took a short adjustment time to figure out because I was used to the old way of doing things prior to using systems & groups etc.

Let us know if you have any further questions!

Tell me a system or two you want programmed and someone (or myself if it hasn't been done before I get back online) and send you the file.

Please link to them in the DB.

That way you can have a start and see who things are set up. I think you are trying to do a multiple site system which can be quite complex. (I think I figured would what county you are in...)

Thanks.

Regarding the software, I am confused where it talks about system type, setting parameters, hold and delay time, etc. could someone tell me what these should be set on. Thanks.
