Default ID Tracker II - Version 1.3.0

- Added code to load all system files regardless of whether the scanner is on. All system files that are loaded but are not found in the scanner are displayed in red in the Settings dialog.

Default ID Tracker II - Version 1.4.0

- Added setting to limit the maximum record time for individual audio files to increase performance.

Details:

Sets the maximum record time in minutes for individual audio files. Once the audio file exceeds the set time, the audio file is renamed and a new audio file is started. This is done to improve recording performance. No audio is lost since this function simply creates multiple audio files for the same ID. The Audio Playback dialog will display and play all audio files for an ID.
As audio files become larger, the system takes longer to open and close the file reducing performance. A 30 minute audio file recorded at 8000 Hz requires a file size of about 15 megabytes.

I don't know if it's an addition or a remnant of my settings but it's nice that the list opens up to all columns.

I'm not sure if I like the feature of ID Tracker II taking the scanner out of HOLD mode. I'd like it to observe the current state of the scanner, I think. I'm undecided about that.

If you are talking about the playback list, I have changed it to a grid as opposed to a simple list which allows for more control. Once you adjust the columns they should stay that way until you change them.

When ID Tracker II starts it needs to place the scanner in program mode to read the system information. This is required by the Uniden protocol. When the scanner is placed in program mode it also places the scanner in hold mode. After coming out of program mode, ID Tracker II executes a resume function otherwise users would have to manually resume scanning. Unfortunately, if the scanner was in hold mode to begin with then it will be forced to start scanning. The TrunkTracker IV protocol does not allow any method to determine the scanner mode as in previous scanners. I am afraid that this is something that will have to be lived with.
