Default Win96 trunked system types

Alright, I know I can only put one type of system per bank when programming my scanner via Win96. What I want to know is, can I put several types of systems per bank?

For instance, I designated one of my banks for Motorola (MOT) and want to put several systems in this bank. I've added control frequencies for two Motorola Type II Smartnet systems and some for the Project 25 Standard (or APCO-25) system. Will the scanner be able to pick up everything coming through on these systems?

Also, do the talkgroups have to be in any specific order in the table?

Thanks.

1) As long as you separate control channels by a conventional channel.

2) No

Remember that there will be no difference between TG's across systems. In other words, if the sanitation dept. on one system is TG 144 and the PD is 144 on another, you will be hearing both with no way of hearing just one. Also you will see the AlphaTag of whatever one is programmed lowest in the ID List (even if it disabled). The TG conflict is the real reason you don't put multiple Moto (or P25) systems in one bank.

The tip of putting a conventional channel between two P25 control channels of two different systems is understood. Is it also necessary to do this same separation between control channels of a large area P25 system with multiple towers over the coverage area?
Or can all of the known control channels just be entered without separation?

No, the tip just forces the scanner to check all control channels. Once it finds one, it will skip the rest in the bank (unless you use the trick.)
