Oh please.....I believe Don S. mentioned this about another one of his software packages, so I'm willing to bet it applies here - the csv file must be in a certain layout for it to recognize it as importable.

No I don't know the format, but I'm sure someone here does; Excel should make reformatting the file a cinch. 73s Mike

To see the layout expected by Win99, export a CSV file from Win99 and open it in a text editor, spreadsheet program, etc.

For a detailed description of that format, read this:

In addition, there is no CSV download from the RR Webservice. If you get anything from the Webservice you get XML. It is up to the software to properly handle the XML download and I am pretty sure that the Win99 software does that (I know that Win96 does).

Yes you can download CSV from RR, just like you download PDF's; but it is not the Webservice. That said ScanDaBands, please quit the histrionics, there is no need to format your mistaken assumptions in colors and out-sized text.

With that said , since it's an option with RR to use text like that , I exercised my option , if it's that much of a bother to you maybe you should have them take that option out eh? I didn't mistakenly assume anything , I downloaded CSV files using the program WebReader I got when I first joined RR and I did that the DAY I posted this message, wether or not the proper format OBVIOUSLY NOT, I got my question answered from Don. Close the thread please. Thanks

It is an option so that people can call attention to some important part of a post, not so you can assume a self-important attitude. Why should everyone suffer for your improper use of an option. Drunk drivers are a menace, but automobiles are still available; after a while, automobiles are not available to consistent drunk drivers however.

Personally the big bold test and flashy colors don't bother me any..

It's his post. If I want to make my letters pink in mine, I will. If it gets closed or locked, thats out of my hands.

Do you have some kind of beef with me that I don't know about? Maybe you should tell me about it.....I really don't think all your comments are something of a nice nature , would you mind explaining what this is all about?

self-important atitude - do pray tell , what are you talking about?

mistaken assumptions - again , where does that come from?

Why should everyone suffer - huh?

I posted about CSV files , I really didn't intend to get a personal attack out of the matter ? So what's your problem? Let's get it out in the open , or is that just your nature? Man alive - unreal !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :O(

Sorry Lou but that was a little uncalled for... There is nothing wrong with the font options he used.

I don't see how you could not know I have a beef with you. I pointed out to you that you were being an overblown drama queen in my first post in that thread. Do I have a problem with you, you bet and since you asked I will specify. Ever since you became active on these forums, you either ask inane questions, make silly comments or pick on someone else. Want an example, you don't have to go any further than the OP of the thread -- "faa laa laa laa la faaaaaaaa la la la laaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa ". Do I have a problem with you? You bet.

You use of bold, color, and oversize text, calling attention to yourself. This is even more evident in that you seldom have correct information to put out.
YOU Sir have issues obviously , be glad to see the day when I'm "above everybody" like you are , let's see I went from a simple question to being a drama queen (you've got to be kidding) , to having a self important atitude (uh well the problem was mine right - Excuuse Meeeeeeee) , to offending you with a faa laaaaa laaaaaaa comment , to whatever else you can decide to come with. I was under the opinion that RR is a place to solve such issues , and yes I should have checked further before I posted , I'll not argue that at all - lesson learned , but all this other "personal" putting me down type stuff , I'm not really relating to that too much right now.

Sorry guys, Lou is right. The boy is trying to bring unneeded attention to himself and his post with his flamboyant use of font colors and size and the kicker is HE DOESN'T even have a VALID complaint.

Well, this is not the forum for complaining about me. ScanDaBands got an answer for his non-issue and decided to take the warning I sent him privately public, that is his choice. However, this thread now has nothing to do with scanning software support and is closed.
