Default Does ARC780 make use of WebService

I have been looking at the Butel site and I do not see any mention of the RR Web Service. I do see the WebCatcher application mentioned but not the Web Service. Is this a feature only available on the other series of ARC software ?

I am on the verge of purchasing it but want to have all the facts first.

Apart from the web service, what other features are you looking for? No doubt we've got a number of 780 users here, they can be your best source of information.

If it were me, I'd lean toward Scan Control - that software is just about ready to introduce an intelligent audio record function, imports CSV files completely (some software - not sure if this is true of ARC780 - only imports freqs from a CSV file), and if you have more than one Uniden model, you can share your files (within some limits) with your other scanners. And while it's true not every agency has a CSV file available here, many do...

Our Wiki has most of the software that supports the 780 - I don't know if ProScan supports the web service, but if it doesn't - well, if enough people ask for it....

ARc780 does not support the webservice and there are no plans to add this option.

Unlike what Mike is saying ARC780 can import any data from a CSV file and from a lot of other sources through the clipboard , a very basic functionality that is missing in Scancontrol.

Mike,
ProScan does not support Web Service. It will import xml files structured for the program or frequencies from clipboard with a dialog similar to ADI feature in ARC software. However, I download ProScan from my 785D (previously uploaded from ARC ) and save the program in xml. It can also be exported in html, tab delimited txt or comma delimited csv format.

Gommert,
What happened to the Webreader program which you initially had for importing data in csv format. Wouldn't this work with the 780?. I notice the 250D beta also leaves an 'Output" file in the same format.
