David,
Whatever.
For God's sake man, take a hike!!!
We'll collect the bugs and dump them on you, in a large bag, when you get back.
Happy Easter to you and yours!

Its loaded up and running on my 396t. How does the ctcss function work? I cant seem to get it to track ctcss on conventional frequencies. Have I misunderstood something? Thanks again for any help.

Enable the "Track Squelch" option for the system that you wish to track CTCSS/DCS. Make sure you have the CTCSS/DCS Tone Search enabled on your scanner.

I have the searching enabled on the 396 and track squelch checked, still nothing, there must be something I'm overlooking. Everthing else on the conventional sytems seems to be working fine.

Hitch,
I have two things that I noticed, one real minor and the other I don't think I understand.
The first is a minor fix for the next release (if you have time); the "tool tip" for the check box for "Track Squelch" on conventional systems reads "Enable/Disable ID Limit Searches" which just looks like it was left there from a previous version. (BTW, it appears to capture the squelch setting on mine as reflected in the screen shot below.)
The second deals with LTR systems (it may affect other types of systems, but I don't have any here with any activity to see). When a TG is displayed, the text that is shown in the "list" (main window) "Description" field does not reflect what is in the scanner if the ID is known nor does it reflect "Unknown" if it is not already in the scanner. What shows up is part of the display showing some part of "ID SEARCH" scroll. This same thing is reflected in the "set" screen for the system in all "Description" fields; the actual ID as stored in the scanner does show up with the appropriate group name in the "Comments" field. I see if I type in the Description, it seems to maintain it (like it does in the Original IDTracker). See the attached screen capture for what I mean:

Lou,
This seems to be real similar to the problem with the conventional scanning on the BCD396T that I just resolved. With the previous issue, there was a minor difference between what the 996 and 396 scanners returned for frequencies.
Are you using a 396? If so and if you have time, please try the following steps:
- Set your scanner so that it is following a single system with the problem only.
- Start ID Tracker II.
- Stop tracking.
- Press the F12 key to open the debug window.
- Click on Log then enable the "Log to File" option. The log file name and path will be listed in the debug display.
- Enable COM debugging. The button on the debug screen should read "COM: On".
- Start tracking.
- Wait until the problem occurs and let it capture some data.
- Stop the tracking.
- Disable the "Log to File" option.
- Exit ID Tracker II.
- Email me the log file.

Time on Posts
Does the time seem to be strange on forum messages? I just posted at around 12:25 PM CDT, but the post has a time of 5:16 PM.
Lou,
Your last post to this group was at 4:53 AM. Where you up that early on Sunday morning?

David, I show 12:16pm on your post time, & Lou's time around 11:53pm. Maybe date/time display option in your forum's profile flipped itelf back to GMT instead of CDT?

Thanks, that was it. I guess I never looked at all the options my profile had.

Hitch,
I will take care of the log file a bit later today and email it to you. Sorry, but in the middle of working on and filing taxes.

A little feature request.
David,
When I right-click on a row in the list the pop-down menu appears with the ID:xxxx as the first menu item, but selecting it doesn't do anything.
How about selecting that menu item open the corresponding edit system window and select that ID for quicker editing, rather than having to click the main window's system's bar to pop down it's menu to select the settings, and hunt/scroll for the corresponding ID, etc.?

The first menu item is just there to confirm what you selected. However, I will think about your suggestion. If I can come up with something that works, I think I may eliminate the Identification Screen all together and just go to the system edit screen.

David,
In reference to the "bug" materials I sent you earlier...I let the scanner just run on that single system (really needed to let it do it any for TG ID purposes) and interestingly enough it ended up treating one of the unknowns correctly! Sometime during the day it reported a TG "Unidentified - 005005", which basically throws my theory (the one I sent with the bug report) in the trash.

Here are the images that didn't make the trip via email except for one that I didn't keep:

Small fix?
David,
Can you make all the scrollable lists "mouse-wheel" aware?
Thanks,
Andy
