Bearcat?? Boy, there's a name you don't hear too much anymore...
Anyway many folks found that the supplied software worked better as a cupholder rather than anything that worked (others did manage to get it working). In addition, the PDF files supplied here are just for printouts - you can't download files from it.
What you need to do is 2 things;
a. Become a
Paid Subscriber (anything in blue is a link) That will give you the ability to download data directly from the databases here;
b. Get a copy of ARC250 as made by BuTel and sold here in the US by
Scanner Master
You can also see if someone in your state's forum here on RR has a .mem file (that's the extension ARC250 uses) already built for your area. Alternatively there are many Yahoo groups for scannists in various states/regions that might also have files in their areas.
