ARC396 and scanner configuration

I downloaded the latest ARC396 because I've always heard good things about it and something about the way the Uniden software was designed has always let me wanting more.

One thing I did with the Uniden software and my 396 was to have different configuration files to make it easier when traveling. For example, I have a Home/Work configuration that includes the SAME code for the county I'm in along with all of the systems that I would like to listen to when I'm at home or work. I also has a Las Vegas configuration that loads in the SAME code for Las Vegas and then has all of those corresponding systems.

I believe this is analogous to "profiles" on the ARC396 software, but it looks like the profiles in ARC396 only change the systems to be programmed into the radio. It doesn't look like it changes the overall scanner settings like the SAME weather codes and other settings.

Something else I like to do so I know immediately what profile I have loaded into the radio is to change the power on screen to say Home/Work when I have that loaded. Since this is not a part of the systems programmed into the radio, this would have to be changed manually every time I change the profile in ARC396.

So my question is: Is there a way to tie some of the overall scanner settings (like the SAME code and the power on screen display) to a profile in ARC396?

Start ARC396 and select View _ Configuration settings.
Now you can set all the general scanner settings and save as many files as you want.
These settings are not stored in a profile.
