Default Win96 Error

Anyone seen this error before ?
Error: Access violation at 0x00000001 (tried to read from 0x00000001), program terminated when starting Win96 and 97

IBM laptop win 2000 512 k ram

What cable are you using Mike?

Also, the same problem exist for both scanners and if you are using the USB cable, what settings for the USB are listed in the device manager and/or are there any conflicts?

Try reinstalling the update, may have a corrupt file.
