If your clock is correct, please contact the author of this program for instructions on correcting this error (report code CCB-F).)

Have you checked your system date, and time? It sounds like it's not set properly.

Have you tried to re-download it, to see if that makes a difference. If you want, PM me your regular email address and I can attach mine...that works.

it will not help, his software from what I have seen, writes to the registery to track the 30 day eval period. Unless you reload your pc, have a second pc, or have something like goback running, you will not be able to try.

For sure, if he's been running it over 30 days. He didn't imply that.

If you have xp you could try doing a system restore if there is one set fair recent to when you installed win 97, might be worth a try

Anyone figure this out yet...My Win97 ran great for awhile, and now that I was ready to pay $25 for my copy, I cant even open it up, I get the same warning message as described above.
I have tried to uninstall it and then download it again only to get the same result.
I emailed him about it, but it sounds like it may be a long wait before I get a reply.
Thanks for any help.

Try this to see if it works.
After unistalling win 97 did you make sure there are no win 97 files or folders
left on your C: drive. If there are any delete them. Then try reinstalling win 97 again to see what happens. I ran into this problem however win 97 was already registered. I just open and close win 97 and it had no problems.

Thanks for all the help everyone, I tried it all and still a no go....until I checked my mail.
I received an email from Don today and he had the fix for me, not sure if he would want me to post the full reply here, so I will post what he sent me with the key "XX" out in places, so what your seeing here is NOT the correct key.
Reply from Don;
" When you get that error message, hold down a SHIFT key while you click
the OK button. You'll be prompted for a key. Enter this:
10XX-CAXX-89XX-3FXX "
Hope this helps others that have this problem, just email Don and he will help you fix it.

Just email Don and he will fix it?
Been a year, still waiting. Now I have the time out issue with win 96 after using the posted temp keys. I sent another email with instructions on which email account to use so the key can't get lost.

HAH! I've emailed him several times trying to get my key for win97. I've sent him the paypal receipt number and all pertinent data, and have yet to hear a peep out of him. I've had a paid for copy of win97 for almost a year now and have not been able to use it. Nor can I get any satisfaction from paypal, because of the amount of time that has passed. What a RIPOFF!
