Default 996 Not scanning complete

Brought over a complete list and sent it to the scanner from this site. I named the system, than theres 'sites', than primary w/2 frequencies in it. It will scan those 2..thats it. Iv'e looked all day and read all day till i'm blue. Upman tried to help but refered me to 'wiki'....read that also..to no avail. I don't understand the part about site frequencies. I know.....read, read, read..i'm blue in the face. The quick key i used is next to the name of the system is: 0, the primary under sites is: 7.

The scanner is scanning 1-10 groups according to the scanner...and the 'SO' is 7 on the scanner. What is: setting site frequencies...I mean, they're already there...i'm looking @the manual now....? PLEASE someone help me. And pleasse don't link me to 'wiki'...i'm wikied out. A week w/this scanner and cant hear _hit except for reg frequencies. And a month of reading..

Update...19 views and not one person to jump in and say anything..nice site we have here.

Updated again....i called an ol' friend.....2 minutes and i was good to go...

Just to be clear, did you get the issue resolved? What was the problem?

Now for the rant....

Well perhaps it was 19 people that wanted to help, but didn't fully understand your problem - let alone own a 996T. Before you start making remarks about the "nice site" and how nobody has helped you, remember - You are the one with the issue, you are the one asking for help, you are the one who can't figure the scanner out while many others have ( without issues ). So, a friendly and more humble approach goes a long ways.
It can be quite difficult to "teach" or "help" somebody with limited info. It may seem logical or sensible in your eyes, but to the eyes of the reader, it may be pretty confusing.

So relax, there are people that are willing to help and some willing to go to extremes.
Sheesh, I've even met with complete strangers to program their scanners.

That being said, the bottom line is that there are lots of friendly people on this site who are willing to give their assistance and expert advice. This forum is not only an informational tool but it's also a classroom environment.

Yep, there is a lot of people to help on here but, not always sitting and waiting.
Sometimes it may take a day or two for someone to log on that understands the wording of the question.

Smile Deeke

I appreciate the offer...got it licked now. And i do hear you regarding the wait time etc. But like i said in a earlier post....i recently saw alot of posts that seem to be from newbies (like me as far as these new scanners) that are asking vague questions at times, however, ALOT are being directed to links etc. Which to me, are useless if i've been there multiple times and still cannot get a 'english' answer. Don't get me wrong, there's ALOT of info on this site, that is why i'm here and and leaving my funds at this site and not somewhere else. In general, it seems to be a very comprehensive site. Sometimes too technical for us new learners. Even the manual is down-right confusing at times. But in time, i'm sure i'll appreciate the detail it has to offer. I think the most helpful info has come from the help file in the ARC software. However. The creator of this software deserves a very nice applaud in my book. Yeah, i'm a rookie, but the software serves both. The rookies and the Pros. But in the mean-time...For those of us on this site that are rookies....give us a little more room....and i'm not talkin' ropw length...lol...You never know..some day we may have a answer for you.

AND...p.s. Just because i'm over the hill and i need my mid-life-crisis toys again (as my 21 year old navy boy says), don't blame it on the age...
