Default ARC15 PRO and Vista (Graphic Problem)

Im having an issue after installing ARC15 PRO on my Vista machine. At times when I have the program and/or real time control running the graphics on my entire desktop goes totally nuts. To the point that you cant even shut a program down. Sometimes you can make it to task manager to shutdown throughout the mess.

Ive tried compatibility mode (WinXP sp2) and it still doing it. Also installed as Admin, latest drivers installed too for video.

Im also a systems admin so...not 2 dumb with this puter stuff. Anyone with issues (to this anyways??

Thanks Gommert!! I was having the same issue with ARC996 and virtual control under Windows Vista 64bit. I was looking all over Microsoft's site for a hotfix or patch. They have a lot that are not include in the Windows updates. I just installed the hotfix, will let everyone know if it takes care of the issue.

Now if I could just get the audio from dropping out that would be great.

did that hotfix work for you? I installed the patch, but the same thing happened after. I made a few other changes and installed a few more updates...I'll see what happens now.

what audio issues are you having exactly?

Gommert, as a suggestion, what about putting that info on your Butel site? Some people may think its an issue with the software and look there first.

I installed the patch yesterday eve so I need a few days on it yet.

The audio problem is with EasyStream. My stream is coming over broken up and just low audio modulation.

The other streams on the server list sound very clear. Very annoying program though with it grabbing control of my cursor when working in Windows.

the patch did not ask for a reboot. initially, I didn't reboot but the issue came back; usually can recreate it in about 20mins or so. I then installed a few more updates and rebooted. so far, it seems to have fixed my issue.

Well I tried v0.97 (thanks Mike) and NG.

I installed .98, removed the folder and rebooted. Installed .97 (admin user) and the program will not start now. Task manager has it running and cpu for the task at 48% on my Vista machine.

I've tried compatibility mode (XP & 2000) with the same results.

what was the error you received?

I received an error that the file "vcprox.ocx" was missing. I did a search in Google and found another app using it for other streaming audio software. I downloaded and installed the demo from http://lakeofsoft.com/vcx/download.html and tried EasyStream again. EasyStream then told me the demo had expired. I recalled that this happened last time I installed the older version, so I installed version 0.98, executed it, registered with my keys, closed it, delete the eazystream_server.exe from the install folder, then reinstalled version 0.97. works fine now...

if you want version 0.98, let me know.
