Default Need advice for 796D Cant get it off nfm

Hi every one, I just purchased a beacat model 796D digital scanner, now I received the bearcat digital software with it, and I was trying to program it for a marks freq, but I cant get it off nfm, there is nothing in the drop down box to choose motorola like the rs program does, or how do i change the nfm to get the apco-25 to decode the freq of the stark county sheriff, I no im not doing something right, Can someone drop me a line to let me no how to do this, I also got a program with it , called Butel ARC250Pro V1.12 does anyone no what i do with this program, please if you will e mail me direct at wc8i@yahoo.com thanks,bill

Don't use the Uniden software - it's famous for being problematic at best. You've got ARC250 and you're a premium subscriber. Save yourself the headaches, and go over to the state forum for whatever state Stark county is in; ask for a .mem file for that area. It's quite likely someone has one.

The other alternative is to connect with the databases here and download the data directly. I think you may need to upgrade your version of ARC250 to do this (earlier versions didn't have the ability to connect to RadioReference), but that shouldn't be a big deal. You need a version greater than 1.195, the beta for which was the first one (I think) to have the ability.

Sorry every one for posting this, need help with bearcat 796D note, I seem to have made atleast one person mad, he said It was very poorly written , first thing in the e mail, and I did make a mistake and posted it twice, all I can say is im sorry , I would never never, judge anyone or e mail anyone that ask me for help, Send something like this person sent me, but anyway, sorry for asking , One person that did offer and did help me last nite is frank M, from Va. he was very patient, and helped me on it, There are still nice people in this world, and im sure most of you are, and no it, But, always one, thanks to everyone, Bill WC8i
