new wiki article for indexing programming files?
It's a common enough question - 'where can I get files for....(fill in the scanner, software, ect.)?' - While Yahoo groups are certainly one place (and these forums another) there's yet a third option - somebody's website. I know of 6 or so sites for various places on the East Coast, such as the Delmarva area (Delaware, Maryland and Virginia), Mass., NYC and one or two others.
It wouldn't be hard to construct a Wiki article to layout these sites - I'd probably put it together first by region, then state by state, with a sub index for the software used. After we get a few together, it would be quite easy to put the software links in. And of course, link in the subscription page, as well as the page that lists the software that currently supports getting data from the XML interface.
This would be, I think, very useful for newcomers.
How about it? Is there any interest out there for such an article? After the initial article is complete folks can add their own websites. Let's keep Yahoo groups off of this article for now - there are just too darn many of those groups, and it would be hard enough to keep track of those groups that appear and disappear.

[edit] OK slight change here. I was going to keep Yahoo off the article, but then I thought about groups like CARMA that have lots of files. When the page is ready, please add groups that have programming files in their area. I guess they're too pervasive to really be ignored.
