Default Win97 and Nascar PLs....

My dad dropped his Pro97 with me to load the upcomming Nascar race he will be attending.

I found the frequencies of the drivers he wants loaded, but I have never had to enter PL codes before...where does the PL code go? I dont see a spot for it unless its called something else other than PL...I just want to make sure I have it right since I cant really test this setup until hes already at the race. Im sure its simple to do if I knew where to put it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Look in the manual under CTCSS...

Basically, hit MAN, go the channel you want, hit PROG, Press FUNC>MODE...enter the CTCSS Code(PL), press enter.

Just make sure that you set the mode to CT for pl's or DC for any dpl's. if you leave it set to FM it will still pick up everything transmitted on that freq...not just the cars you want to hear.

Ok 1 more question.

I have entered the ones I want in, A couple will not take the PL codes, appears to be too high of a number, It will not except anything over 250ish for PL, anything I put over that number it changes it to 251 or something like that. What do I need to do different for these?

The highest PL is 254.1 I have no problem with anything up to that all CTCSS/PL will have a a .X in them. If the number is a 3 digit number with no decimal point it's a digital code and the setting has to be DC not CT.
