Default Object ID numbering Win500

Is there an upper limit to the id number than an object can be assigned in Win500 or in the radio itself? I have some object that I have arbitrarily assigned ID's of 2500+ and the software reassigns them when I send the file to the radio.

If I try to enter an integer equal to or greater than 100000 in my copy of Win500 I get a message telling me to enter an integer BETWEEN 0 and 99999. I believe that the software will actually allow any integer FROM 0 TO 99999 in keeping with Win500's ability to create P500 files with 100,000 objects.

The radio itself is capable of 1852 objects, numbered 0-1851. TSYS, SRCH, and SWPR objects take up multiple IDs depending on the system type.

So the radio itself will not allow an object to hold an ID of over 1851 then, correct? That's kind of a bummer. I only say this because I'm setting up my objects with some logic given to the ID numbers I assign them (ex Denver PD District 1 Dispatch is object 0410, with all the sub channels 411-419, DPD Dist 2 is 0420, etc.). Doing this can leave some object ID's unused and as such I either have to eat the unused object IDs, or assign non-logical numbers to some objects. Not a big deal for seldom used objects, but kind of a disappointment.

I suspect the 0-1851 limit has something to do with the following from the PSR-500 Owner's Manual: The Object ID is the “address” where the object is stored in memory.
