I know I can do it that way ! Thats why I asked ...
"show the hits by alpha tags (system-group-channel) in alphabetical order """automatically"""" !
So I DONT have to "Click on the column header to sort".

It sounds like you are asking a suggestion. http://proscan.org/bug_reports_suggestions.html

i think proscan version 4.9 has a timer bug. timer being the trial timer. i downloaded the trial of this software about four days ago and it always pops up to let me know that it is a trial but the remaining time on the trial remains 30 days. thought you should know! ill be honest about it though and quit using or buy the software after my thirty days has passed because i respect your work and im thankful for your time and dedication to make this software! Thanks!

I just installed that version. :-) Never would have seen that bug though cause mine is registered. Did find a small bug in another APP which I reported to the aurhor. This helps them to make the software better in my opinion.

Default Stream Re-naming in source client

Howdy been streaming on one stream with ProScan source client noticed in version 4.9 the stream rename for RR streams.
What field renames the stream?
stream discription?
stream name?
Is there a delay?
Thanks Cheers Sly

It shouldn't be renamed. Where do you see it and what is it renamed to?

No audio delay at the source. The IceCast server and the media player produces a small amount of delay intentional.

MM I'm just a bit confused as what you mean by
Changed - Source Client - Stream to Radio Reference now can change the stream name.
Does this rename the RR stream at RR or just in ProScan?

Also ProScans been locking up on my XP system Unhandled Exception Report attached FYI
Thanks Cheers

The stream name was hard coded "PS". Now with 4.9, it can be changed. Depending on the media player, it may show. WinAmp will show the stream name in parentheses along in the metadata area along with the metadata. Nothing is changed on RR.

WinAmp will show the stream name in parentheses in the metadata area along with the metadata and the File --> View file info menu. Nothing is renamed on RR and it's not possible anyways..

Thanks for that, I have just started broadcasting meta data and have rearranged my databases.
Outstanding program have just started to stream both streams with ProScan in the past the RR dropouts leadme to believe that scanner cast was preferd.
In the end RR kick you once a day that's great in my opp you get a much more stable stream.
Long time ProScan user.
Cheers Sly

Just a word of thanks for the recent upgrades to Proscan. I had been running v4.7 until I recently downloaded v4.9. The new features are great; love the big scope too!

You have to unregister the software on your current hardware, install the new hardware and re-register and it will work. I ran into the same issues before.

Licenses are good indefinite. If just changing hardware, ProScan will work in the activation mode afterwards. If reformatting the HD, then the the activation has to be removed first and re-activated afterwards.

Email me on any license problems.
