Default 996T connecting with Vista 64bit

Has anyone had any luck using the ARC996 Pro software connecting to the 996T from a computer running Vista 64bit? The softeware installs fine and runs fine it just won't connect. I'm 100% sure that its a problem with Vista 64bit not liking the USB cable due to lack of the proper drivers. I haven't found anyone , including Uniden that has 64bit drivers that work. Anyone have any suggestions? Oh, the computer in question is a laptop without a serial port.

Thansk,

Brad

Brad did you check the USB manufacturer's website for drivers? I thought that would be the place to start. Or is it one of those generic brands? 73s Mike

We do have Vista 64-bit drivers on our web site for the USB-1 cable. I used the cable for about a year under Vista 64 (with the unsigned Windows XP 64 drivers) and other than having to do a special boot mode, it worked fine.

When I first got the cable long ago the driver that was there didn't work. I downloaded the one that is there now and it worked like a charm! Thanks for the help!
