Default New Pro-164

I bought a pro-164 today and understand that the win97 software will work for this. Is it true that for my area if I become a premium subscriber that I will be able to upload from here to win97 and then directly to my scanner? What other advantages does being a PS bring?

Thank you,

I am in Sacramento, Ca.

I upgraded to Premium and I don't understand what I should be doing to load to win97 for sacramento trunk systems. Can someone please help me out? Thankyou

Our wiki has the answer - click on the link below;

AFAIK PRO-164 support is still in beta with Win97; hopefully Don has enabled RR import for that scanner, the same way he has it for the PRO-97 and 2055.

While I initially put the word "beta" in my description of Win97's PSR-300/400 and PRO-164/163 support, I don't think I'd call it beta any longer. I've heard no reports of any problems, but several reports that Win97 works well with all 6 radios.

RR import support was "automatic" when I added support for the new radios.

I was able to succesfully import the frequencies that I wanted to have on my radio, and man what a breeze that you guy have made this. Before yesterday I was entering everything by hand on a pro-92, and that was a major pain. It definitely pays to be a premium subscriber. I wouldn't know what to tell you could be a problem with the "beta" issue for 164. It loaded everything succesfully, although I don't know what would be different out in the field. The only thing that I noticed today, is that all of the chp channels in the sacramento area just give me alot of noise, I have to turn up the squelch alot to bypass the channels. I drove from sacramento to san jose today and once I was out of the stockton area it seemed that most of the frequencies that I put in for chp worked, although some tac channels just had alot of birdies on them. I thought that all of the chp is conventional. I am not sure if I entered the information correctly though. I didn't see anything on import for chp channels. I would love to have someone prove me wrong though.

Once again thank you for an awesome product,
