radio shack usb scanner programming cable

i was having trouble with the cable so i tried uinstalling it but now it want reinstall it someone please help iam so frustrated

iam using scancat lite i have windowa vista and apro97 and yes i have the cd

gt rid of scancat ASAP & get win97 at www.starrsoft.com, will cure All your problems

FYI, Windows will locate the driver by itself, if you let it check the internet for updates. The driver cd is not required.

I just performed 2 win xp installs, and on both, Windows found the driver from the net by itself upon plugging in the cable.

i have bought 2 of these cant have any luck the 2nd one worked for10min and when i uninstalled it i couldnt get it to reinstall just got my programming software today and cant wait to use it any ideas would be aprciated

i use that same cable with my new pro-2055 scanner, and win97, seems to work great for me, as soon as i found what com port it was considered, it worked great

Look on your cable & post any model number info you find.

Also have a look at your system device info. Go to "Control Panel" & start "System" & you will see your "System Properties" screen. From that screen click "Device Manager". From there click on the "Ports (com & lpt)" icon & post exactly what you see for your "COM" numbers.
