Default software for GRE scanners

I am looking for feedback or reviews regarding software used with GRE scanners...

Is there a clear "best choice" for most users?

Does one program work better with GRE than the others?

I've been looking at the following as choices:

http://www.starrsoft.com/

http://www.psredit.com/

http://www.scannermaster.com/Programming_s/114.htm

Are there other software packages I should consider?

Default PSR500 software

I have been using Butel's ARC-500. This is the only software I have used so I can't compare it to the others you listed. However, I can say that I have been very satisfied with Butel's products over the past several years. I am using ARC-250, ARC396 as well.

You can download a free trial version at www.butel.nl

The only "clear choice" is the one that fits your needs best. The rest is just opinion (and occasionally, if you read the threads here, personal attacks and ranting).

You can use the trial versions of them to see what fits you. You can also read the posts here and see what, if any, problems people are having. There are yahoo groups for them too and that would be a good place to read about them.

My suggestion as author of PSREdit, is to try all of them (They all have a 30 day trial period) and see which one works best for you. Only you can answer that question.

Where else can you try out the software for free? You just can't go wrong here.
