Handheld scanner antennae??

Are there any antenna that you can buy for handheld scanners that will get far better reception than the stock ones?

There is an antenna section in the radio reference forum that has loads of great information on antennas. But to try and answer your question it really depends on what frequency you wish to listen to. I just have conventional fire/police frequencies and I have found that the radio shack 800 works very well and the diamond rh77ca antenna is even better. But it's all a matter of personal preference.

Depends on what your idea of far better is. But most people are happy with the RH77. Any more than that and you'll have to try hooking up to an outdoor antenna.
