I'm curious if anyone out there uses any of the antenna's made by Austin?
I've seen the advertisement for the spectra and the ferret antenna's and curious how they compare to other scanner antenna's....they seem pricey!
I currently use the WBV-60 sold by scannermaster and it seems to do ok and for my mobile use just a standard 1/4 wave vhf....I do monitor an even all around vhf, uhf, and 800 and considering where I am located that I can pick up counties over 80-100 miles away from me in NC and hear them just fine for the base.
For the mobile it is ok going through town and so on but limited.
Any information would be great...thanks.
