Hi,

I own a Pro-162 portable scanner. I am looking for a new base and mobile antenna around the 100 dollar range each. I am looking to scan 100mhz to 800mhz. In your guys opinion, what is are some fesable antennas that wouold do a great job.

Thanks,
Josh

Check out the Wiki there are lots of antenna info and links there. As far as the base antenna just remember to use good coax especially for 800mhz. Do you already have a tower or mast?

If you want to stay within the amount you have budgeted, you might take a look at the Scantenna ST2 it comes with coax. Then you would have to see what kind of mount and mast you want to go with it.
