I have narrowed my base antenna choices to the Austin ferret or the AOR SA7000. I listen to VHF low all the way up to UHF high. Which antenna should i go with?

They both cover about the same spectrum
and both are high dollar antenna's
Unless someone here has used both and can give an honest and real life comparison, i believe it's going to be totally up to you as far as what you choose.

I have never had the Austin Ferret but I have had an AOR 7000 and it was totally unsatisfactory as a wide band scanner antenna. It did not receive very well on any of the public service bands. I replaced it with a Diamond Discone and it improved my reception dramatically over the AOR on all bands. Stay away from the AOR.
