To anyone installing one of these antennas be carefull while tightening the 3 lower elements and use the jam nuts provided. I did not use the jam nuts and grounded the whole antenna by running the elements in to far. I noticed I was recieving better with the rubber antenna than with the new antenna. Got out the meter and ohm'd the cable and antenna. Found the Antenna grounded. Other than that ive got it about 25' off the ground and sitting back copying the mail.

The Radio Shack 20-176 is actually a Antennacraft ST-3 which sells for as little as $18.95 online.

Did not know that, good info. Of course I always wait until the last minute when I need something, so I'd go to Rat Shack & pay a few bucks more.

Interesting that they market it as a TV antenna to. Never thought about that. May hook mine to my TV & see if I can DX some television. :D
