Have two antennas on my car. One 1/4 whip for vhf and one for uhf high. Without being torn to peices, is there a switch to manually switch back and forth for just one radio.

Yes.

I good quality antenna switch available from any Ham Radio store will work fine.

Are you looking for something automatic?

Is it a receiver or a transceiver?

With a quarter wave VHF antenna you don't need a UHF antenna, switch, additional coax or anything else. 1/4 wave VHF is 3/4 wave UHF so take it from there.
