Good Scanner Antenna

I just bought a Uniden BCD996T Digital Scanner and it's great. I'm using a RadioShack mag mount antenna as my base antenna. The antenna works ok but i can't recieve anything out of county. All of the counties here use the apco 25 digital trunking system and i want an antenna that will pick up frequencies from 30-40 miles away. I'm looking for a base and a mobile antenna, anyone know of any good ones?

If your talking 800 mhz 40 miles is really a leap. You may get it with a yagi at home.
You may get 40 miles depending on your location and terrain. But 800 is really a short range
freq. Your mileage may vary but 25 miles is tops in many areas.
