The Diamond RH77CA is very well liked by many enthusiasts. If you are thinking about that antenna, take a look at their RHF40 which is the same antenna except that it's super flexible. Seems to have the same specs, but is easy to carry and very handy.

And for a base antenna, I've been very please with my Diamond Discone.

Thanks for putting this in the proper forum and I will try to pay more attention.

I have heard good things about the Diamond Discone. I can get the ST2 shipped with
* 1 (T-5) 300 - 75 Ohm Balum Transformer
* 50' Coaxial Cable
* F to BNC Adapter
for about $43.

I have been reading a lot of good things about the ST2 as well.
