I bought a tri-pod 36" roof mount. Any install hints, tips?
Should I use big ol' lag screws? or nuts/bolts?
I am mounting a J-pole (VHF-Hi) antenna to this along with a discone(little) (spider). Do I need to ground the antenna? OR just the cable or both?
what do I really need? any checklists out there?
Right now, I just have a mag mount antenna out in the garage on a Ye old cookie sheet. Works fine.
This is my first time installing anything on my BRAND NEW ROOF> Do I need to seal the mounting screws or just stuff it under the shingles. I sure would hate to have a leak. You would read about me on the front page if my wife saw the roof all full of holes and leaking water.
I want it to look nice. Not cheap. ALL PRO!
