Default Seeker 800 MHz Duckie Antenna Revisited

Hi,

There hasn't been any mention of this antenna since 2/2011 and it was without a reply. I was wondering if now that the price is $59.95, is this still a worthwhile antenna for 800 MHz? Is it any better than the RS 800 MHz or the Centurion EXC-806? Is there anything else better than the three mentioned? Has anyone bought one recently? Does anyone still use it?

Here's the link:

Thanks,

For $60.00 dollars I think it's a very bad bargain.

I used one for a few months on my desktop scanners. It had a slight bit of better reception over the RS 800Mhz duck on a stationary frequency I used to monitor. But it still all came down to me liking and using the RS 800Mhz duck better. The Seeker was very top heavy for a handheld scanner, that bottom gray section contained the BNC connector and it covered the entire BNC jack. Heck I bought that back some years ago when I was new to scanners lol.
