Default Trunk Lip Antenna Mount With Low Loss Cable

Can anybody here recommend a good trunk lip antenna mount that comes with low loss coaxial cable. The one I am using is from an amateur radio installation and I suspect that the coaxial cable is probably just RG-8. With 17 feet of it on a typical mobile installation, I fear that 800 mHz signals may actually be attenuated rather than signal being improved.

A trunk lip mount is usually furnished with RG-58 cable, not RG-8 which is considerably larger. Motorola's NMO mounts are supplied with a double-shielded RG-58 (small diameter) cable which I believe is used on 800 mHz installations. The short run is not long enough to seriously degrade the received signal. RG-8 cable is too large to fit in a trunk lip mount/installation. Also, no coaxial cable will ever "improve" a received signal; the antenna might have the capability but the cable will not.

Oh, okay. I was just hoping that someone made a mount with RG8X, but obviously I am mistaken. Thank you for your help!
