Pick the model/type of scanner antenna you use.
Post comments of what else you have tried or any other data that others might benefit from.

The standard array of duckies. The RS 800, antennex 800 model. For mobile I have an 800 NMO mag-mount, and a multi band mag-mount from RS.

No selection for home made? :p

None of the above and several. Yeah ok so I voted other. Kind of like the next election. ;)
What kind of home made4?
Beam, 1/4 or 1/2 wavevertical, Discone. Should fall within the catagories above. Notice I didn't state manufacture(d).

The above was mine. I'm not use to Forums that allow posting without logging in first.

BTW, that outdoor RS thing is a 1/4 wave ground plane.

Need an option for "All of the above". And maybe "All of the above plus others" (my catagory).

OK for mobile on my Motorola M1225 VHF Hi - NMO MagMount from Waltel bought by the County vias our tech guru....
For my scanners PRO-92B, PRO-28 - A pair of RS MagMounts, one modified for VHF Lo/Hi, and one modified for UHF Lo/Hi....
For my CB a oldie but a goodie, 40 inch steel whip MagMount, and a 110 inch HIGH GAIN Base ant.

On the portable side,...
For the HT1250 - the actual rubber duckie that came with it.
For the XTS3000-R - also the actual duckie that came with it.
For the PRO-92B - the original duckie when its not attached to the mag mount.
For the PRO-28 - a RS metal telescoping BNC, or the maggies.

For my BS 250D, the stock duck, also ATOC tiny magnet mount scanner antenna for the car. For my Drake R8, a 52' G5RV. For my R75 a 40' longwire. For my Motorola HTX 750 at work, the stock duck :D

That's suppose to work? That is, better than a coat hanger or any piece of wire outside??

(BTW, if you are saying yes to either, have you had other antennas in the exact same location and found this is far better than those on multiple frequency band channels?)
