Hi, I need some help with a Bearcat BC-140.
My grandpa passed away and I got some scanner from him.
My problem is:
I'd like to hook up the Bearcat BC 140 antenna outlet - I don't now what this plug is called - to an antenna using a BNC connector.
Anyone can help me with the adapter I need for this task ?
Your help is really appreciated!

Probably a Motorola plug, the same type that plugs into a car radio. Radio Shack has the adapter you need.

Here's a link for a number of older manuals. Although the 140 isn't listed there, you may find one that uses a similar programming method.

AWH: Scanner Owner's Manuals: Uniden Bearcat, Motorola, Radio Shack Realistic, Regency - Factory Service Manuals - Scanner Manuals - Ham Radio Manuals

I also found this link to instructions to convert it from 10 channels to 16.

Haven't tried the mod, of course, so proceed at your own risk.
