RS 800 mhz ducky

I'm looking for a 800 mhz ducky to listen to 800 mhz police freqs but they're conventional. Is the RS 800 mhz as good on 800mhz conventional as it is on 800mhz trunked ?

Frequency is frequency, does not really matter if it is trunked or not. So the antenna will receive them equally well.

Radio Shack has two antenna that tend to be confusing. The 20-283 is their 800MHz antenna and the 20-034 is what they call their 'deluxe' scanner antenna.

I have used the 20-283 and for 800MHz reception, it has been a good antenna. Read through this forum. There are numerous discussion on 800Mhz antennae.

I've got it on my 528. It receives good, but not as great as the RS Telescopic Whip, but I have broken 3 of those. If 800 is primary for you, go with the ducky. It is a good antenna for it's function.

I can vouch for the RS800 as well. I own 3 of them. That should tell you something.
