I'm intrigued, and want one for my Blazer!

Diamond mobile discone antenna

This would be RX-only (have HF and 2m/440 ham antennas on it already) and mounted on the rear left corner of the truck, fed with RG-8 or 8x if I'm feeling cheap-ish.

Curious as to its UHF and 800 performance; not much VHF-high left around here, but it's nice to keep the capability.

If you're being serious, Lord help you the next time you lay it down, might just find yourself a member of the body piercing club. I don't think you were, though. ;)

That antenna screams "Ham Radio Dork".. You might as well mount that thing on a helmet and wear it on your head..

That's a good point, it is pretty nerdy. At least it's not a dish or something, haha.

Might whistle like a bastard too

I think it would look good on that storm chaser bunker-mobile that I saw on Discovery channel or maybe attached the handle bars of a vrod. Don't know how good of an antenna it is...
