Antron 99 for Scanning????

I know very little about antennas and scanning, but for some reason, I just thought of this question.

I have an Antron 99 with ground plane kit erected on a tower about 30-35 feet above the ground. I used this for a CB years ago. My question is...

Can I convert or do anything with this antenna to use it with my Uniden BCD396T for scanning??

Sure you can use it. It should recieve CB and 10 meter ham very good since that's what it is designed for. As for other frequencies, you wont really know unless you try it. I say go for it and see what kind of results you get. If it already has coax running to it, you can easily hook it up to your 396 with the help of an adapter or two.
