What Antenna?

I am looking to buy a new antenna for base and am not sure what is a good antenna. I am in Plymouth, MN. We use digital over here too. I am not looking to spend too much money. Is all I need the antenna and coax? I am going to mount it on our roof.

I would say the ST2 would be hard to beat and can be had for $35.It comes with 50ft of RG6 coax and is a solid performer for the money.http://www.universal-radio.com/catalog/scanants/2732.html

I have used the older model and the newer ST-2. The antenna is in expensive and great for Lowband/VHF/UHF but only fair for 800mhz. My only complaint is that the antenna does not hold up well in windy enviroments.

I need to replace my ST-2 for the 2nd time. I am looking at a Diamond Discone.
