antenna for bct15 to scan it all

i am a huge scanner listener and have tried alot of different radios and antenna and now im gona just ask the people who know. i have a bct15 and im looking to scan the whole range of freq, mostly fire dept and trunked on long island. what is the best antenna to do this. and wire im sure is an issue also. i will running approx 75ft to the scanner. all suggestions are appreciated

Radio Shack Has A Antenna That Has A Range From 25- 1300 Mhz - I Use It And Have Good Results-- Stay With 50 Ohm Lead.

i have heard horror stories re: radio shack antena, heard the leads all snap off. this happeneing to you?

For 'all around' use the Scantenna ST2 is tough to beat. I run one with a LMR400 feedline and its performance is very good across the bands.

the scantenna is by far the best ive used scans all ranges my discone doesnt come close
